本課程的教學理念: 培養學員接觸英語的興趣，學習出國旅遊時如何用英文與外國人交談應對，加強與外國人交談的信心。
預期學習成果：每位學員皆可孰悉簡易旅遊英語句型，面對外國人不再畏縮。
課程目標

台灣人是熱愛旅遊的民族，國人若具備基礎旅遊英語會話能力，出國旅遊時不但備感輕鬆，而且能藉出國的機會，與外國人交談，行銷台灣，間接達到國民外交的目的。因此規劃此課程，對有興趣學習旅遊英語的基隆市民，提供多元學習管道。
